Aaron Kunzer
Aaron Kunzer is a Senior Scientist II in medicinal chemistry at AbbVie, receiving his B.S. from
UW Madison and M.S. from DePaul. His research in oncology, spanning both small molecules
and biologics, has involved a significant focus on BCL-2 family members and resulted in
numerous development and clinical compounds.
Mathew Mulhern
Mathew Mulhern is a Principal Research Scientist at AbbVie. He received his B.S. in Chemistry
from the University of Chicago and has been at AbbVie (previously Abbott Laboratories) since 2001.
Mathew’s responsibilities include synthesis of materials for toxicological study / FIH trials, and
late-stage development leading to commercialization.
Chang Park
Chang Park is an X-Ray Crystallographer who spent many years at AbbVie. He received his Ph.D.
at the University of Kansas and did post-doctoral research at Michigan State. Park has since
retired from AbbVie, having had a direct and immeasurable impact on multiple medicinal
chemistry programs.
Cheol-Min Park
Cheol-Min Park is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Ulsan National Institute of Science and
Technology. After completing his Ph.D. at Seoul National University, he conducted post-doctoral
research at Stanford. Park then spent several years as a medicinal chemist at AbbVie prior to
starting his academic career.
Yu-Ming Pu
Yu-Ming Pu is a Principal Scientist II at AbbVie. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the
University of Nevada at Reno with Professor David Lightner and did post-doctoral training
at NIH. Since joining AbbVie process chemistry, Yu-Ming’s research has focused on development
