At the start of the backswing the elbow cannot fold correctly and

the distance between the elbows increases. This is often

accompanied by a separation of the hands at the top of the

            backswing.

If the left hand opens and closes

during the swing, the club will rub

a hole in the glove. The bigger

problem here is that if the left-

hand grip is loose, the right hand

will take over and dominate the

                                                          downswing. The most likely result

being casting the club at the start

of the downswing. This will often cause an out to in swing path and

            make directional control difficult.

Sometimes the hole develops because the

right hand is so dominant that it twists the

club out of the left hand at impact. You

can see the dark spot on the glove where

            it is starting to wear.
