This can add loft and change the face angle and is often
accompanied by a lack of hip rotation through impact.
Flying right elbow
If the right hand is rotated too far to
the left so that the hand is more on top
of the club, rather than slightly under
the club, it will put the right elbow in a
position where it will have trouble
bending correctly during the
backswing.
This will put the right elbow in a position level with or above the
right shoulder at the top of the backswing.
This can cause some of the following issues:
The right hand might push the club to the outside (towards the
target line) to start the downswing causing a severe outside to in
swing path.
