                                     “Dickey dog”


                                      Coney Sauce




                                         Ingredients


               2 lbs ground beef
               ½ cup minced onion
               1 ½, cup catsup
               ¼ cup white sugar
               ¼ cup white wine vinegar
               ¼ cup prepared mustard
               ½ tsp celery seed
               ¾ tsp Worcestershire
               ½ tsp black pepper
               ¾ tsp salt


                                         Lagniappe




               Place the beef and onions in a heavy skillet and cook till the meat is
               browned.  Pour off the grease, fine grind the meat and add the ketchup,
               sugar, vinegar and mustard. Sauté the mixture for a few minutes and season
               with some celery seeds, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper and salt. Simmer
               for a few hours in the skillet or transfer to a slow cooker.
