2. If you are constructing a simple shelter made with a tarp,
this knot can be used to attach an end of the rope to a
              grommet in the tarp.
            3. This knot can also be used to attach the guylines on a
              tent to a rainfly.

Two Half Hitch with a Bight
A handy variation of the two half hitch just described is the
two half hitch with a bight. Read on to discover what makes
this one special. Keep in mind that due to the nature in
which this knot is tied, it shouldn’t be used in critical applica-
tions. However, if you just need a knot that’s quick and easy
to both tie and untie, it might be a good choice.

Pros: This knot is similar to the two half hitch described
above but it’s much quicker and easier to untie.
Cons: The fact that this knot is quicker and easier to untie
presents the possibility that it could become untied when
you don’t intend it to. With this in mind, remember that this
            variation isn’t as secure.

            How to tie it:
            1. With the working end in your hand, pass it around an
object such as a tree or pole thereby forming a single
turn as illustrated in figure 26a.
