3. Thread the working end
through the loop you created
and pull the first half hitch tight
as illustrated in figure 28c.
4. Pass the working end around
the standing part again, but this
time the wrap should be on the
outside of the loop. This is illus-
trated in figure 28d.
5. Threading the working end
through the second loop you
just created forms the second Figure 28c.

6. Dress the knot before pulling
both half hitches tight and you
have completed the two half
hitch. The finished knot should
look like the one you see in
figure 28e.
