5. Bring the working end of the thinner line towards the
“x.” Pass it through the point where the two lines cross.
Make sure the working end of the thinner line is pointed
upwards and lying on top of the standing part of itself as
illustrated in figure 37c.

6. Pinch the knot at this location with your left hand to hold
things in place as you continue onto the next step.
7. Now start wrapping the working end of the thicker line
in a clockwise direction. In other words, pass the thicker
line in front of the thinner line, under and then around
towards you. Complete the same number of wraps you
made in step 4 to keep the knot symmetrical. When
