Note that for illustration purposes,  the blue paracord
              represents the thicker diameter line and the red para-
              cord represents the thinner diameter line. Also note that
              although it may not be clear in the illustration, imagine
              that your hands are holding the lines at the top of the
              photo, so as stated, the left hand will be holding the blue
              paracord and your right hand will be holding the red
              paracord.

            2.  Cross the two lines over each other so they form an
              “x” with the thicker line from your left hand lying behind
              the thinner line in your right hand as illustrated in figure
              37a.  You’ll probably want about five to seven inches of
              the working ends overlapping each other at this point.
