3. Cross the bight over both the working end and standing
part of your fishing line. This step is illustrated in figure
36b.

4. Taking extra care to not twist the bight, tie a loose over-
hand knot with the bight as illustrated in figure 36c. It’s
important that you don’t tighten the overhand knot all
the way during this step of the process. Just leave it a bit
loose.
