Pros: It’s extremely simple to tie.
Cons: One negative characteristic of this knot is when
you’re tying onto a highly polished spool with a very slick
surface. Doing this may make it a little difficult to get the
knot to constrict tightly enough to prevent it from just slip-
ping as you start winding your line onto the spool.
How to tie it:
1. With the working end you want to tie onto the reel,
make a single turn around the spool as illustrated in figure
35a. Since paracord is being used to illustrate the steps
involved in tying this knot, an actual fishing reel isn’t used
in the photographs.
