Cons: If not tied correctly, it can weaken certain types of
fishing line, making your line more likely to break at the knot.
How to tie it:
Please note that the photographs used to illustrate each step
needed to tie this knot show the knot being tied with a large,
homemade hook and paracord. Since paracord doesn’t slide
along the other strands of itself while tightening, the photos
don’t precisely illustrate how actual fishing line will lie as
the knot is being tightened. Hopefully, you’ll still find these
photos helpful for learning how to tie this knot.
1. Thread the working end through the eyelet of your hook
or lure.
2. Pass the working end back through the eyelet as illustrat-
ed in figure 36a. You will essentially have a bight through
the eyelet now.
