2. Take the working
end and tie a sim-
ple overhand knot
around the standing
part of your line as
illustrated in figure
35b. When you pull
this overhand knot
tight, make sure to
leave a couple of
inches on the work-
ing end. Figure 35b.
3. Tie another over-
hand knot, but this
time just tie it in
the working end
to act as a stop-
per knot. This step

this stopper knot
is close to the first
