                         Fishing Knots

The next portion of this book will provide instructions for
tying some commonly used fishing knots. Many preppers
plan to incorporate fishing to provide a potential source of
food while trying to survive the aftermath of a major catas-
trophe. If you’re one of them, learning to tie these popular
fishing knots will be well worth your time and effort.
It’s worth pointing out that even if you’ve done quite well

to practice these knots using thicker cordage initially, but in
order to really become proficient with them, you’ll need to
practice tying them with actual fishing line.
Up until this point, you’ve probably practiced with nice,
soft, supple rope that’s easy to work with. Fishing line is an
entirely different beast altogether! When you make a wrap
with rope, it pretty much stays where you put it until you
