Cons: The knot is designed to easily tighten but once tight-
ened, you may have to cut the cordage because it can be
quite difficult to loosen the noose.
How to tie it:
1. Pass the working end over the standing part to create a
loop as illustrated in figure 34a.

2. Pinch the section where the working end crosses over
the standing part with your thumb and index finger.
3. Make a wrap with the working end around the loop as
illustrated in figure 34b. Note that the spot where the
working end crosses over itself in this step creates an “x”.
