Alternate method of tying:
There is another way of tying this knot that is very handy if
you want it to be in the middle of a length of rope instead
of at the working end.
1. Lay your rope down so that it forms an “s” shape as illus-
trated in figure 33a. Essentially, you have two bights with
the “u” shape of the bights pointing in opposite directions.
