you complete the final wrap, the working end should be
pointed up. This is illustrated in figure 37d.
8. Bring the working end of the thicker line towards the
working end of the thinner line. Notice that the working
end of the thinner line will be treaded through a hole
between the two lines and pointed upwards. In this step,
you’ll want to thread the working end of the thicker line
through that same hole but it should go from the top
of the hole and be pointing downward. If you’ve done
this correctly, the thinner working end will be pointed
up and the thicker working end will be pointed down as
illustrated in figure 37e.

9. Lubricate the knot and lightly dress it the best you
can. It’s worth pointing out that the fishing line you’re
using may seem to have a life of its own when tying this
knot. It won’t behave like rope and lie neatly as you make
the wraps. Just do the best you can to make the wraps
and hold everything in place.
