Possible Uses:
You can use this knot in the same manner in which you use
a sheet bend but in situations where you want a knot that
is a bit more secure.
Prusik Knot
This knot, which is also sometimes referred to as the “prusik
hitch,” is very handy when you have a length of rope and
you would like to attach something to the standing part
of the rope. In order for this knot to function properly, it
should be tied with thinner rope than the main rope it is
attached to.
