city rich in history and diversity, Long Beach, California is AJA’s host city in 2022. Located in Southern
California, the city boasts oceanfront views, 345 days of sunshine, and was voted one of America’s “Most
Walkable Cities.” Originally named “Wilmore City,” the city was renamed “Long Beach” in 1888 because of
its long, wide beaches. Not only is the city known as the residence of the Queen Mary, Long Beach Aquarium of the
Pacific, and Long Beach Grand Prix, visitors will find Long Beach to be an urban waterfront playground.
