The atrium seating area was designed with extra-large containers with huge Birds of Paradise and pothos as under-
planting. The jungle theme may have gone away but we still kept some of the design elements that the hotel and
its guests have been accustomed to seeing. There are 8 of these displays strategically placed within the atrium to
not only create a seating space but provided an incredible plant display for all to enjoy There were so many natural
elements included in the lobby redesign including this wood pergola leading to the guests’ elevators. The general
contractor even created built-in planters for us to add live greenery to not only balance the wood tones but to com-
plete this biophilic design element.
