His friends are equally careless. They just left me alone. They should
have handed me over to Roy if he had forgotten me. But I guess they
were too busy to fulfil their responsibility.
The bat has a sad expression on its face. Suddenly, it hears the voices of two children.
It sees Raza and Jasmine running back towards it. The bat cannot believe its eyes.
Raza: (shouting) Look! It is still there!
Jasmine: (with an ecstatic voice) Thank God! I was so worried!
Raza: I realised my mistake once I reached home. What if Roy couldn’t find
his bat here?
Jasmine: I told my mother about it. She said that I should have returned the bat
to Roy. Let us take it to Roy’s house.
The bat feels happy because Jasmine and Raza have come back for him. As Jasmine
and Raza are about to pick up the bat, Roy comes running.
Jasmine
& Raza: (together in a loud voice) You came back!
Roy: Yeah, I forgot my cricket bat. Both of you are still here?
Jasmine: (looked at Raza from the corner of her eyes) No, we came back to return
your bat to you.
Roy: Oh thanks! That was really nice of you.
All of them return to their homes.
