Beginning:

‘Hello’ is a greeting and a way to communicate with another person. People

greet each other all over the world every day and in different ways—with a
smile, a wave, a hug or a kiss. In some countries, people greet passersby on
the street with a smile and say a ‘hello’ in their language.

Here are some ‘hellos’ from around the world. With your partner, match the ‘hello’ to the
country where it is spoken in. Try it!
