When you throw something in a dustbin, it usually ends up in a landfill which is a
place to dispose off garbage and other waste material by burying it and covering it over
with soil. Some things in the garbage take hundreds of years to rot. Imagine the stink!
Find out where your town/city’s landfill is and how far it is from where you live.
Think about:
If you choose (from your man-made list) to give away your item to someone who could use
it or if you find a new way to use it, it would be called REUSING. For example, giving your
old jacket to your younger cousin to wear.
