Where does all your trash go?
If there were no garbage collectors, what would happen?

Think About and Discuss:

Your environment is made up of man-made things and nature. Close your eyes and think
of your home and surroundings. Write down as many things as you can think of that are
either man-made or created by nature. For example, chairs, water bottles, buildings, roads,

etc., are man-made things. Trees, rivers, soil, etc., are created by nature.

Paired Exercise:

Choose one item from your ‘man-made’ list and one from your ‘nature’ list. Your partner
will do the same. Now you have two items from each list, for example, a chair belongs to the
‘man-made’ list. Imagine that you have just bought a new chair but have place for only one

in your room. What would you do to dispose off your old chair and where do you think it
will end up?

Do the same with the item from the ‘nature’ list. For example, a flower falls from a tree in

the forest and dies. What would you do to dispose off the flower and where do you think it
will end up?

You can also draw a picture of the item along with your answer.
