We may or may not like some things about another place. Yet, we can learn many things

from people and places that are different from us.

Exercise:

Imagine that you are the editor of a travel magazine. You have received letters from children
across the country, asking different queries. How will you resolve them?

You can take help from your friends, the Internet, your family members or the library to
write the answers. (Hint: Get a map of India to find out where the writer of your letter lives.)
As you discuss answers, here are some questions you can think about to help your letter
writer better:

1. Can I find the exact place on the map of India where the letter writer lives?

2. Do I know anything about this place?

3. Do my friends know anything about this place?

4. What can I find out about this place?

5. What is the letter writer feeling?

6. Why is this issue important for the letter writer?

7. Does my family have a similar tradition as mentioned in any of the letters?
