In the story ‘A Piece of Bread’, you read about the importance of not
wasting food. Did you know that 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted
each year globally? This is unfortunate especially when millions of
people are forced to go without food for days due to extreme poverty.
Write a newspaper report to highlight the need for spreading
awareness about food wastage. You may even observe your own
household or a nearby eatery/restaurant for the same. Remember to
mention different ways in which food wastage can be reduced, and
share what you learnt with the class.
