Perception
The lowest level of the psychomotor domain is perception. It involves becoming aware of objects by means of
the senses—hearing, seeing, touching, tasting, and smelling—and by muscle sensations or activation. The
learner must select which cues to respond to in order to perform a task and then must mentally translate the
cues received for action.
EXAMPLE Is able to recognize a need to learn how to use the meat slicer.
