Gender Roles in the Workplace
Gender discrimination has existed throughout history in every conceivable form. Fortunately, the Seneca Falls
Convention, which included Stanton, was the first assembly to debate women's rights in 1848.
They spoke up for the right of women to
vote and fought for it.
As a result, it reached the ears of people ubiquitous that men and women should be treated equally in the law,
economy, society, and every other one. The myriad of women gets paid lower than they should or get offered a
lower position than men in most terms due to the conviction of society that women belong in the kitchen or are
naturally born to be defeated by males. However, both males and females should have the same level of
productivity and job quality when it comes to working. When they are in the same position, they would do the
same duties and accept the same responsibilities. Women will manage to achieve all of this while still fulfilling
their roles as wives and mothers. This emphasizes that favoring one gender over the others would be abhorrent.
If women desire it, they have a right to
try to build things on their own.
Women have all the rights to have an education and the freedom to express themselves freely if they so choose. All
of these are not privileges, but rather rights that every woman must get as a living individual in this society. So, I
believe accepting women to do the same work as men is a foregone conclusion.
