THE FOOTBALL VICTORIA HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
Football Victoria has a long-standing historical committee that meets periodically to make Hall of Fame and Life
Membership recommendations, and provide insight and feedback on historical issues and ideas.
Looking forward, it is important that this committee consists of members who are representative of those sectors of the
game that can best add value and relevance to the broad discussion about the game’s history.
To address this, respondents were given the opportunity to complete the following question...
In order of importance, the Football Victoria Historical Committee should comprise of…(Select ‘1’ for most important, ‘2’ for
second most important, etc)
The data shows that, in their order of importance, up to 84% of respondents chose to have Victorian football historians in
their first three preferences.
Similarly up to 70% of respondents indicated, in their first three preferences, that it was important to include one or more
Former players in the Football Victoria Historical Committee.
Respondents also indicated strongly that Club administrators, Football fans, a representative from Football Victoria and
Football Media, should also be represented on the committee.
