From the President%u2026Dear NCISS Members,I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for placing your trust in me as the newest President of NCISS. It is a tremendous honor to step into this role, and I am both humbled and excited for the journey ahead.I am incredibly encouraged by the wealth of innovative ideas and forward-thinking conversations that occurred at our Annual Meeting in October. It's very clear that the passion, expertise, and dedication of this board are driving forces behind NCISS's strength and continued growth. We have an amazing opportunity to build on our nearly half-century of progress, and I am eager to bring my energy, ideas, and focus into this term.I also want to congratulate and thank the rest of the board on their re-election or continuation of service. I especially want to welcome three new members to the board: Joseph Jones as Secretary, Director Kyle Corrigan, and Director Fernando Alvarez. I'm excited and encouraged by the enthusiasm, new ideas, and passion that these new board members will bring to the table.One of my primary goals as President will be growing our membership. As you know, it%u2019s not just about increasing numbers, but ensuring that NCISS continues to offer exceptional value to both current and future members. In the coming term, we will be implementing multi-faceted strategic approaches to reach new potential members nationwide and bolster the value of membership to strengthen retention.I also pledge that communication will be one of my top priorities. I am committed to open dialogue with the Board and with all members, welcoming any insights and input. Your collective wisdom and experience are invaluable, and I serve confidently knowing that we are stronger together.Lastly, during the TALI conference, I had the privilege to be welcomed on stage by TALI President Bob Washington to address the audience. I talked about the importance of associations like ours, now more than ever, to protect not only our profession, but to uphold the values of justice, truth, and transparency for all.
