Together, we prepare people for work.

               VOLUNTARY TERMINATION

Employees terminating their employment with Goodwill-Easter Seals must provide written notification
to their manager and Human Resources. A two-week notice is requested. Employees may not use
accrued but unused PTO and/or floating holiday hours during their last two weeks of employment or
extend their employment date. In addition, employees who fail to give a two-week notice will not be
paid their remaining accrued but unused PTO balance up to 40 hours.

Employees who are absent from work for two consecutive work shifts and have not contacted their
manager will be assumed to have abandoned their job and voluntarily resigned.

Employees who resign will receive their final paycheck on the next regularly scheduled pay date.

               INVOLUNTARY TERMINATION

Employees are expected to meet performance, attendance, and behavior standards and follow GESMN
policies and procedures. GESMN may terminate an employee for failure to do so.

Where appropriate, terminations caused by performance, attendance, or behavioral problems will
follow the steps outlined in the Corrective Action section of this handbook.
Involuntarily terminated employees will be paid through the date of termination. They will receive their
final paycheck in accordance with state law.

               REDUCTIONS IN FORCE

Changes in business objectives, direction, or restructuring, may cause Goodwill-Easter Seals to reduce
the size of its workforce, eliminate jobs, or change job requirements. Employees affected in these
circumstances are considered to have involuntarily terminated their employment. When there is a
reduction in force, employees may be eligible for PTO to be paid out up to 40 hours.
