Jaime Wilde Just a country girl, born in a small town in Alberta, I never imagined I would fall head
over heels in love with the Hong Kong city life! But this city has a special place in my
heart, along with the colleagues and students I have come to know at CDNIS. On my trips
with AYP, I also discovered some of the best hiking I’ve ever done, within a bustling,
cosmopolitan city. Thanks to the warmth and kindness of the CDNIS community, I never
felt too far from home. I leave Hong Kong with beautiful memories and the gift of lifelong
friendships. I will always appreciate the strong and brave students I have come to know.
As I embark on a new adventure in my own life, I wish the best for all my students who
are forging their own paths in Hong Kong and beyond.
It has finally come time to say goodbye to my
dear CDNIS community. I arrived here in 2016
planning to stay two years which soon turned
into 6 years. This is not the first time I have
said goodbye to a beloved group of students or
colleagues, but it will be my last as retirement
is waiting around the corner. A new chapter of
my life is about to begin.
My career began in England, and I was then
encouraged to cross an ocean to Canada, and
finally a continent to Hong Kong. I have done
this job for too many years to mention, and I
have loved every minute of it. My first Grade 7
class is the current class of '22, so it is very Customer is allowed to have objects outside of the margin.

has easily become one of my family’s favourite cities. I am grateful for the
opportunity to have been a part of this great learning community with so
many wonderful students and amazing colleagues. Thank you, CDNIS, for

After 10 years as a Lower School teacher Homeroom
teacher and 4 years as the Grade 3 – 6 Visual Arts teacher, JoAnne Sandul
it is with a heavy heart that I must say farewell to the
CDNIS community and return to my home in Canada.
During my time at CDNIS I have enjoyed working
collaboratively with so many outstanding colleagues
especially for such events as the yearly wearable art
fashion show that showcased the amazing talents of
CDNIS students.
I wish all my former students a successful and productive
future along with continued success on their educational
journey. I also wish all the colleagues I have worked with
over the years all the best that life has to offer. I will truly
miss what I consider my second Canadian home with all
my heart. I encourage everyone to keep nurturing their
artistic talents and stay healthy and happy! 187
