Domaine Boyar was established in 1991 and was the first private wine-producing
company after the fall of the communist regime in Bulgaria in 1989. Today, it is one of
the most respected producers of Bulgarian wines. Its state of the art winery amid the
apple and peach trees of the Thracian Valley is named "Sinite Skali" after the landmark
Blue Rocks in the foothills of Stara Planina Mountains. Extremely careful selection of
only the best grapes of each and every harvest ensure that the wines are of maximum
quality.
Head winemaker and senior oenologist Kapka
Georgieva has been instrumental in steering
Domaine Boyar to international heights thanks to
her expertise and unique personal style.
