VERGELEGEN PREMIUM SAUVIGNON BLANC
100 % Sauvignon Blanc sourced from Vergelegen’s own estate
vineyards
Hand harvested
Tasting note: Pale, bright, green-tinged yellow. Pure, vibrant aromas
of lime blossom, gooseberry, ripe guava, fresh passion fruit, white
pepper and quince. Shows amazing elegance, balancing perfect acidity
with ripe fruit
VERGELEGEN RESERVE SEMILLON
100% Semillon.
The Grapes are sourced from the traditional Korhaan Vineyard, number 11
on the estate. Fermentation took place in 225 litre French oak barrels. The
wine was matured in barrel for eight months with regular lees stirrings
Tasting note: intense citrus, white flowers, honey and spice on the nose. The
wine is finely focused, complex and well balanced with a crisp acidity
VERGELEGEN PREMIUM CABERNET SAUVIGNON MERLOT
A Cabernet Sauvignon dominant red blend with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit
Verdot and Malbec
Sourced from the north and north-westerly vineyards at Vergelegen estate ,
Somerset West, where soil types of granite, Hutton and weathered shale
dominate
Hand harvested
Tasting note: Bright dark red. On the nose striking cassis underlined with
cedar and a fresh ripe fruit character. On the palate, the freshness carries
through with a sprightly lingering finish
VERGELGEN RESERVE CHARDONNAY
100% Chardonnay and all grapes are sourced from the famous Vergelegen
Rooiland vineyard on the estate.
Tasting note: Attractive lemony yellow-green colour with a complex nose of
citrus, white peach, pineapple, spice, citrus blossoms, apricot and buttered
toast aromas. The taste is long and elegant with a lively minerality.
VERGELEGEN RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Grapes are sourced from the famous Vergelegen Rooiland vineyard
The Vineyard faces north to northwest and have granite, Hutton and
Clovelly soils.
95% Cabernet Sauvignon with a small percentage of Petit Verdot
Tasting note: Blackcurrants, spice, ripe plums and attractive wood aromas
and flavours. It is full with soft, ripe tannins leading to a lingering aftertaste.
