Founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal and still 100% family owned and run, Philippe Guigal is
winemaker
One of the world’s most awarded Domaines - all three of Guigal’s most treasured cuvees:
‘La Landonne’, ‘La Mouline’, and ‘La Turque’ have scored 100 Robert Parker Points for many
vintages
Quality and excellence assured - Guigal pay up to 3 times more for wines bought in the South,
and grapes bought in the North to ensure consistency of excellence across the range, and not
only their top wines
One of the few wineries to still have its own cooperage – The cooper works full time in the
Cooperage of the Château d’Ampuis and makes 18 barrels a week on average in order to fulfil a
yearly requirement of around 800 new barrels. In total, the Guigal cellars house around 5000
barrels
