Dear Dr. Bent-Harley:

I am writing to thank the Fulton-Dekalb Hospital Authority for the scholarship that I received. I
am very honored to be the recipient of this scholarship. The scholarship has helped me
tremendously.

I am currently a 3 year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine from Atlanta, GA. I

graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017. At the University of Georgia, I majored in
biological science and I had a minor in Spanish. Before coming to Morehouse School of
medicine, I was leaning towards specializing in OBGYN. This year has helped me solidify my
interest in doing Family Medicine and serving in an underserved area.

During my studies at Morehouse School of Medicine, I have been very involved and active on
campus. I served as the vice president for the OBGYN interest group for my first two years. I am
also a Student Ambassador and involved in giving tours to students interested in attending
Morehouse School of Medicine.

This scholarship is very beneficial for my medical school education, and tt gives me the
motivation to keep my GPA high and to also volunteer more within the community. I look
forward to being able to give back and help other medical students like you have helped me.
