The County ASA publish two sets of times, accepted and considered times for all 50m, 100m and
200m events. Swimmers achieving accepted times are automatically eligible to participate,

whereas swimmers who achieve considered will be ranked, after the closing date, and the slowest
               swimmers scratched.

Your entry fee will be refunded if your entry is not accepted for a particular race, no other
               refunds are considered.

               4SSC County Champ Relay Teams

Swimmers may be selected to represent 4SSC in the County Age Group relay events. The age
group relays include 4 x 50m Freestyle and 4 x 50m Medley for boys and girls 11/12, 13/14 (age at

31st December) Teams can also be entered for the 4 x 50 and 4 x 100m Freestyle and Medley
               events for older swimmers

All relay events are HDW, the teams will be selected by the Head Coach.

Signing in and Warm‐up at the County Championships

A withdrawal system is currently being used at the Counties rather than a signing in system and
the club is fined for any events that a swimmer is due to swim but does not show up for. It is
therefore imperative that swimmers who are unable to swim contact the coach or team manager

so that a withdrawal can be made on their behalf. Any fines incurred by the club, as a result of a
swimmer not turning up, will be passed on to the relevant parent.

Swimmers should arrive at the pool in good time to ‘sign in’ with the club by the deadline stated.
On arrival, swimmers should by-pass any queue of parents and head straight for the changing

               rooms/poolside.

Team managers will help ensure swimmers get to the marshalling area for their race. As with all
galas, swimmers should not leave poolside unless they have permission from the team
managers/stewards. The organisers will announce the order for warm-up (usually 15 min each

group) and then the competitions will start.

               Heats and HDW sessions

The Counties are run in a similar way to normal open meets, swimmers have to present go to the

marshalling area 6-8 heats before the one they are due to swim. Soon after the end of each heat,
the results will be placed in a designated Results Area.

Where finals are being swum, the results will indicate those swimming in the final and one or two
reserve swimmers. Finals are swum in the evening session, which has a high degree of pizazz.

For HDW events, the results will show the entrants ranked by age group, the winners can collect
trophies / awards from the Awards Table. Any swimmer making a final must inform the
