organisers of their intention to swim, so that reserves can be infilled if places exist. Reserves must
also let the organisers know if they are not going to attend the evening session. Finalists /
reserves who do not turn up for the evening final, and who have not informed the organisers,
may be excluded from taking part in further events!
Finals
Where finals are swum, they are held in the evening session. The warm-up time is confirmed and
announced during the afternoon – so be sure to check before leaving the pool. Take plenty of
food with you if you think you may swim in a final – it is a long day and some pools do not have
good food outlets.
Finals are swum in ‘spear head’ formation with the fastest swimmers in the middle lanes.
Awards are made to all finalists and formal presentations of these are usually made.
