Term Meaning
Time Trials Opportunities to obtain a time in an event not previously swum, or to
obtain an up to date PB for use when entering open meets. These are
occasionally available to swimmers at licensed open meets, in which case
the time can be classed as ‘official’ and may be used to enter County or
Regional competitions. Time Trials at 4SSC (such as club nights or during
training sessions) may only be used to enter open meets.
Trainer of the As the name says awarded monthly to a 13 & under and a 14 & over
Month Swimmer by the Head Coach in agreement with all Coaches.
Warm-up The time allowed before a gala or competition for swimmers to get their
muscles warmed up in the water before racing. Also good for swimmers to
get to know a new pool.
