Harvest Health Greenhouse Wilcox, AZ
Recent changes to Arizona law have prompted a construction boom for recreational marijuana grow
operations throughout the state. One such project was the Harvest Health Greenhouse in Wilcox, AZ. Wilson
Electric was contracted directly by Harvest Health to start Phase 1 of the project, and later by Pennoni
Associates Inc. for the entire build out.
Our scope of work was to provide electrical distribution throughout the facility, and extensive branch piping to
fans, humidification walls, grow lights, heaters, pumps, and irrigation controls.
The 60,000 square foot greenhouse was divided into six 10,000 square foot sections for various stages of
plant development. The remote location of the project and requirement for plants to move to their next
growth stage every three weeks presented some unique challenges.
A big thanks to Matt Baker and his team for securing this project during the preconstruction phase, and to the
Sierra Vista crew (David Jones, Gary Martinez, Dan Kaeppel, Bobby Kirkendall, & Ernesto Verdugo) led by Juan
Martinez and Darrel Prickett. Despite many cold mornings and long days, this group demonstrated the safety,
efficiency, and quality Wilson Electric customers have come to expect.
