Teaching Assistant Training

To support the development of teaching assistants, South Pennine Academies can offer trust-wide training, as well as bespoke coaching
and/or training programmes. This can take the form of a tailored programme of training for teams of teaching assistants based on the
priorities of the trust, for example with a focus on the expected non-negotiables in EYFS, or this can take the form of 1-to-1 coaching for new
teaching assistants or those looking to develop further in specific areas for learning.

There will be trust-wide training offered to complement the new non-negotiables packages in Primary Maths, Primary Literacy and Primary
EYFS. However, there will be opportunities throughout the year for academy principals to request bespoke coaching and/or training
programmes for any academy or staff team.
