                                   CRUSADER
Crusaders are found in Secondary Schools, not only here in
Queensland, but in other parts of Australia. They are boys and girls
who are followers of Jesus Christ, and who desire to please Him in
all they say and do. We are very thankful to be able to hold Crilsader
meetings in our school, and we do offer our grateful thanks’ to our
Principal, Mr. Cafferky, for the way in which he has willingly helped
us, and made these meetings possible.
Crusader meetings are held in our school every Tuesday during the
lunch hour. Our two leaders, Pastor Hayes and Mrs. Robertson, have
given up their time in order to come and speak to us, and we do take
this opportunity of thanking them for this. We have been encouraged
by the number of girls who attend our meetings, but would be happy
           to see many more boys.
The boys have been hearing about five missionaries who were
martyred in Equador early in 1956. The girls have heard the story of a
young Indian girl star, as told in the book, “Ploughed Under.” Badges
and certificates are awarded to Secondary School pupils for attendance,
and this year Mrs. Fisher, a member of the Crusader Council, gave out
some of these to certain girls who had earned them.
During the past year we have had special combined meetings. Rev.
Timothy Ree, a Korean minister, brought before us the need of Korea.
Miss Caud-Pryor, the Queensland Travelling Secretary, has also spoken
to us. The girls entered a very good team in the annual Crusader
Sports, and were very pleased to be able to bring the cup home.
