           studying Accountancy. Alan Evans is a pharmaceutical student and
           Jim Gray is following industrial chemistry.
               Congratulations on their engagement go to Gordon Stuart, Neville
           Williams, David Hutton and Graham Kennedy, and we wish every
           happiness to Geraldine Bradford, Beverley Deadman, Judith Ovenden,
           Joan Graham, Marion Argent, Anne Maccoll, Elaine Michel and Carol
           Flannigan.
               Wedding bells rang for Colin Slater and Ida Lowe, Jim Machin
           and Joy Adams, Joy Stuart, Joan Shaw, Lorraine Davis, Rosemary
           Nuttall, Elsie Shelford, Jill Anderson, Ruth Darheim, Raymond Crouch,
           Keith Hillier and Mark Westerman.
               Marie West and Bev Lake are on a working holiday overseas. Mary
           Backwell, Beth Robertson, Judith Overden and Isabel Astill have
           completed their nursing training, while still attending the course are
           W. Macbean, Pam Smith, Pam Willmott, and Judith Hammond.
              Mrs. Webb (nee Grace Searle) and Mrs. Beckman (nee Anne French)
           both have sons.
               Brian Fitzgibbon has joined the Merchant Navy, Ron Thurecht has
           taken up his dentistry practise in the north of Queensland, and Jim
           Stoodley is teaching at Gayndah High School. Doreen Woodley, Merna
           Pedler and Effie Khan are Domestic Science teachers at Cleveland Millaa
           Millaa and Dalby, respectively. Ailsa Niebling is working in a Common.
           wealth office in Canberra, and Martin Pulley is also employed in
           Canberra as a geologist.
               Beryl Feige has gained prominence in the sporting field by
           captaining the Queensland Women’s Basketball team to Adelaide.
               In concluding this report, the Past Students would like to invite all
           High School Students who are leaving school at the end of this year to
           join our Association. All those who are interested are asked to contact
           the office-bearers. Our aim is to maintain a connection with the School,
           and to retain old friendships.
               And finally we should like to thank Mr. Holdaway, Mr. Cafferky, and
           Mr. Garrett whose assistance and advice have helped us with the many
           difficulties in reorganising the Past Students’ Association.
