The stronger sex is well represented in the field of sport, outstanding
personalities being R. Ricketts, who had the honour of being a represen
tative of both Queensland and Brisbane teams, while R. McIntosh, R.
Williams and T. Urwin are not to be forgotten. D. Bain and A.
McKinnon, both, captains, gave creditable performances N. Eldridge
and J. Anderson have given memorable sprints. Of course, the girls are
of an excellent standard. P. Paterson, the girl Form captain, is a fine
ball-game player, while other participants in the athletic section are .
C. Bryning, C. Loynes, S. Badrick. C. Welburn, who have gained many
admiring glances for their ability in accomplishing their feats.
Naturally our school work is of a praise-worthy grade, thanks to
the coaching of Mr. Dawson.
Now this is Form captains, Pam Paterson and Terry Urwin, on
behalf of IF wishing examination candidates the very best of luck in
their task ahead.

Hello, everybody. This is Form 1G calling, from Room 7, in the
wooden building. Our pranksters are Bruce Fleming and Noel Gallagher
and their high spirits are not often crushed. Our train times are not
regular according to Reg. O'Malley when he arrives late for school. Our
artist is Phillip Pinch, while the boy who likes Nature is Ron Farquhar-
son. Evol Brown excels at exercises and Desley at maps.
In closing, we would like to wish all candidates the best of luck in
the coming examinations.

FORM 1H
We, the fifty-one pupils of Form 1H, strive for the honour of our
Form, House and School.
Those in Griffith and Wentworth Houses lead the way, for they
generally win the weekly competitions.
Randall Vines, who is top of the class, proves to be the best at
Arithmetic and Social Studies. Margaret Houghton, Gwenneth Hoare,
and Delmay Hinckley excel in English.
One thing our class shines in is basketball. The girls hold the
honour of being the Form 1 champions.
Beverly Quinn, Robyn Taylor and Delmay Hinckley were represen
tatives in the team that played Cleveland.
Desley Carmichael won the goal throw for minors, and was in all
the ball games that gained several places in the Inter-House Sports.
She is also good at hockey and tennis.
Robyn Taylor was in the tunnel ball team in the State Primary
School Sports.
Swimming is a popular sport in our class. Margaret Houghten.
Delmay Hinckley, Dorothy Donald and Lyle Acworth gained points in
the Inter-House Swimming Competition.
