FORM 2E
Form Captain : Christine Heakin.
Teacher ; Mr. McAllister.
Form Captain : B. Heading.
This is 2E telling you something about ourselves.
We’re altogether happy but not so very smart,
The teacher knew from the beginning, right from the very start.
Sometimes he thinks us lazy but that is a great mistake,
For when you see us 2E kids we’re always wide awake,
From the mental in the morning till the novel in the noon.
We keep on giving him headaches and hope he will smile soon.
To begin with, we would like to thank our Form teacher, Mr.
McAllister for his patient understanding and excellent teaching during
the past year. We would also like to wish to Juniors, Seniors and other
Scholarships success during their forthcoming examinations.
We are all feeling quite proud of our top girl and boy, Pam Hafiner
and Doug. Martin and have high hopes of their ability. Alan Hill is our
champion high jumper and Janice Coulter is our outstanding swimmer,
quite a “fish out of water”.
Our military morale has been kept up by Ron White, and our
theatrical agents, Yvonne Maas. Jackie Irving and perhaps a few others
are doing quite well for themselves. Noeleen Wood is learning Art of
Speech—no wonder she talks so much.
We ourselves think we are a very interesting and ambitious class,
though we are by no means the perfect group of children. Maybe it’s
because of this that we have a name for dodging homework, although
we’ve given that up for down-right study.
I suppose the class has been talked about enough until next year
when a new class will enter the old Form 2E and will be written about
again by two new Form captains.
Hoping we’ve kept up the esteem of 2E and our teacher, Mr.
McAllister, 2E say cheerio until next year.
FORM 2F
Form Captains : Joy Sandal 1, Robert Cottrell.
There’s a Form at Wynnum High
And the master of the class is quite a guy.
That is aiming at the sky,
Mr. Kingsbury is his name
With 2F he’s making fame,
Reading, Writing, ’rithmetic, it’s all the same.
For a funster we have Lester,
Who enlivens our siesta,
And keeps the class awake all through semester.
If we treat our work as fun
We’ll find it easily done,
And the battle of our lives is nearly won.
Seated at the head of the class is Walter Morgan who, besides being
a brilliant student, also revels in reading westerns.
Our class is well represented in most sports.
We have five representatives in Rugby League. These boys are
Barry Myatt, Morris Marrinon, Keith Lipke, Graeme Lind and Lester
Smiley.
Peter Driver and Peter Kirkegard play cricket, while the former
also plays tennis.
