                                    FORM 2A
                                 Teacher : Mr. K. T. Phillips.
Form Captains : Allen Travers, Jocelyn Fleming.
With the most important exams of the year almost upon us, we
do nothing but work, work, work, and despite many gloomy predictions
on the part of teachers, etc., we are doing our best to prove them
wrong. Top girl for the year is Jocelyn Fleming and top boy is Andris
           Kichno.
Our academic brilliance is outshone only by the dash and spirit
displayed by us on the sporting field. Here the girls do very well with
School Junior Champion Lorraine Hillier, followed by G.P.S. champion
Leah Gibbs. Our softballers get the most “homers” and our basket
bailers shoot the greatest number of goals (almost). Other sporting
identities are: Veronica Woods (tennis) and Edna O’Shea and Jeanne
           Eardley (swimmers).
Most of the boys play some code of football, the only exceptions
being a few die-hard softballers who march to the tune of "Strike three,
Out!” all the year round. The most notable in the football sphere is
Interstate player Harry Lamb, who, accompanied by Tony Lederle, also
was selected for the Brisbane team.
Our cricketers are Harry, Allan, Lester, and Neville, who is also a
           broad jumper.
We have three high stepping, heel clicking cadets in our ranks, by
name Barry Rodgers, John Lindley, and Allen Travers, while Jim Thallon
spends the summer months threshing his way through the water with
           success.
Following this lengthy array of male champions comes Marvan
Thompson, who assisted mainly by Christine Sims, keeps our room
           looking like a florist shop.
As a final note we wish good luck to all candidates for the forth
coming examinations, and here's hoping for the proverbial miracle.

                                     FORM 2B
We are the bright children of Form 2B,
Who excel at all sport, with that you’ll agree,
If in scholarship results our names we all see,
We’ll whole-heartedly give the credit to Mr. B. Lee.
           Teacher : Mr. Lee.
Form Captains : Ron McNeilly, Janice Bunkey.
           Top Giri : Eunice Clark.
           Top Boy : Alan Cunningham.
Footballers : Valters Zolt, Brian Johnson, Ron McNeilly (who played
for Queensland) and Brian Scott who captained the 6st. 101b. team
here at school. Brian scored over 100 points.
Teddy Johnson is captain of the Lilley cricket team. Malcolm and
Glenda Bunney excel at tennis, Malcolm winning the school cham
pionship. Peter Martin was runner-up in the school running
              championship.
Many thanks to Mr. Lee for enduring us for the last 12 months, and
apologies for all the trouble we caused him.
Good luck to all fellow students in the forthcoming scholarship
examination and a Merry Christmas to all.
