2. Modifications & system Improvements taken up during the lockdown:

a) Passenger Comfort improvement Initiative:

i) Modification of DEMU Coach Passenger Seat back rest:

Before modification After modification

To improve Passenger Comfort, Coach Passenger Seat back rests are being modified. As
against identified 52 coaches, 46 Coaches completed.

ii) Provision of modified push COC:

Non modified push cock Modified type push cock

Replaced Non-modified push cock with modified type in the toilets of 77 DEMU TCs. This
will be proliferated on all other TCs which are stabled outside upon arrival.
