In ‘The 100,000 Whys in Buddhism’ Online Dharma
Talk organised by YBAM Perlis SLC and hosted by Perlis
Buddhist Society and Kaki Bukit Buddhist Association,
Venerable Lee Jing was invited to deliver a three-day
sharing on three major topics of Buddhism, namely
‘Doubts about Life and Death’, ‘Divine Power’, and
‘Contradictions that One Encounters When Studying
Buddhism’. Venerable made good use of the functions
in the Zoom video conferencing software to interact
with the participants frequently, making the sessions
            more interactive and engaging.

In the first session, Venerable explained the concept
of rebirth and the Buddhist views of life and death.
Attachment, ignorance, and karma are the causes of
            rebirth.

In the second session, Venerable mentioned that
divine power is not the inevitable outcome of practice
and that we should focus on our regular practice and
make good changes. The Buddha did not encourage
His disciples to use divine power to entice others to
learn the Dharma, as this would cause most people to
wrongly focus on the pursuit of divine power, wanting
a quick shortcut to liberation and the resolution of
their troubles, instead of following the Dharma and
practising for liberation. At the same time, Venerable 法师透过问答题和出席者互动。
