'Buddhist Digest', a quarterly magazine published by YBAM, will be
celebrating its 50th anniversary in November 2022.

Founded in 1972, 'Buddhist Digest' is the oldest local Buddhist magazine
in Malaysia. It has published 181 issues so far and will turn 50 years old at
the end of this year. This is an unprecedented record of longevity for a
local Buddhist magazine in Malaysia.

These 50 years have been a long and challenging period. Just as the
theme of the celebration says, 'Carrying out Mission for 50 Years, the
Cause Fall and Rise', 'Buddhist Digest' has borne the compassionate
aspiration of countless enthusiastic disseminators of Buddhist culture to
spread the words of truth and beauty.

YBAM will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of 'Buddhist Digest' on
26 and 27 November 2022 at KL Gateway Mall. Many activities will be
held such as the book exhibition, tea exhibition, calligraphy art exhibition,
debate competition, children's colouring competition, etc. Besides, a talk
featuring Venerable Chi Chern and the author Duo La will also be held.

Besides, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 'Buddhist Digest', Venerable
Chi Chern has offered his calligraphy artwork for charity sale, with all
proceeds going to the 'Buddhist Digest' publication fund. Those
