174     ■ 名菜故事:

             根据文献记载和五华县华城秦汉遗址的出土文物五华人吃鱼生的历史至少可以追溯至秦汉时
             期。因取材方便、制作简单、开胃消食等特点,深受百姓喜爱。在五华民间流传着这样一句
             话:“冇鱼生就冇人生、来五华唔食鱼生唔算到过五华”。


































































             ■ Dish Story
             According to historical records and artifacts unearthed from the Qin and Han ruins in Huacheng,
             Wuhua County, the tradition of consuming raw fish in Wuhua dates back to at least the Qin and Han
             dynasties. Due to its simple preparation, easy-to-find ingredients and appetite-stimulating prop-
             erties, raw fish has been cherished by locals for generations.  In Wuhua folklore, there’s a saying:
             “Without raw fish, life is incomplete” and “Visiting Wuhua without tasting raw fish means you haven’t
             truly experienced Wuhua.”
