Three top scholars soup originated in the late Qing Dynasty, symbolizing the success of the top
three scholars in the imperial examinations. It is one of the most distinctive traditional dishes in
Jiaoling region. As Jiaoling is known as the hometown of longevity, this soup is also considered as
a dish associated with health and longevity.
